I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing summer.
Parents your child needs to bring paper and pencil everyday.
Supplies that will be needed for my class:
14 - prong/pocket folders
pencils -- a years supply
Notebook paper
Color pencils
Magic markers
Graph paper
Wish list:
Kleenex
Paper towels
Hand sanitizer
Notebook paper
Color copy paper -- pink, blue, green, yellow, purple
Pencils
Electric pencil sharpener
Calculators will be used in class. They are TI-83 plus. Calculators will not leave the classroom. Students will need a calculator for home use. It does not have to be a TI-83 plus. It can be a regular calculator. If you have any questions about this, please call me at 757-2160 ext. 3319.
On the first day of school, I will be sending home a Math letter with the expectations in my class. This letter needs to come back signed by student and parent.
Students will have homework every night and some week-ends. Homework is a big part of a students grade.
Students will have at least 2 quizes a week. Some will be announced and some may not.
Students will be told when they are having a test at least 3 days before a test. A study guide will be given.
Before and after school tutoring will be offered. I will confirm the dates when school gets started.
All 8th graders will be taking a bench mark test on Friday, Aug. 27th.
